HANDSET BUNDLED OFFER Karnataka Telecom circle has launched a new handset bundled offer to the GSM [ both prepaid and post paid ] customers of Karnataka in association with M/S DIGIBEE MICROSYSTEMS. This is a unique offer in whole of India and this scheme is launched in the following SSAs . Bangalore/Mysore/Hubli/Tumkur/Belgaum/Bellary/Bijapur/Bidar/ Chikmagalur/Davangere/Gulbarga/Hassan/Karwar/Kolar/Mercara/ Mandya/Mangalore/Raicur/Shimoga. The handsets are allowed with BSNL ring tones. The handset provided for the customer is BSNL network and BSNL SIM locked. Sale of handset along with SIM cards supplied by BSNL will be available through franchisee outlets of above said telecom districts. List of Franchisees is given in Annexure-1. The MRP for G200CF handset is Rs.1458/- The duration of the locking period is 15 months and after that the SIM will be unlocked by BSNL. The customer will have the option to continue with the BSNL or exit option also be available . The Mobile handsets are SIM locked and BSNL network locked. This is the best colour FM enabled GSM handset offer given in India . This is a light weight with colour display and FM enabled handset which is offered at a very competitive price to the customers. The customer also gets back more than his investment gradually in a period of 15 months virtually costing him nothing . However normal prepaid rules shall continue to govern the SIM. g. In case of prepaid connections, this scheme will get converted to general prepaid scheme after expiry of 15 months or to any other prepaid scheme opted by the customer. h. In case of postpaid connections customers will be issued adjusted bills by reducing the call charges by Rs.100/- every month for 15 months during the currency of the scheme of the call charges are less than Rs.100/- then adjustment will be limited to actual call charges. Postpaid connections are for Plan 225 and above. i. Other conditions governing Grace-I, Grace II period, recharge with recharge coupons/top up cards shall be used as per existing instructions. j. Friend and family options will be available under this scheme at prevailing rates for both prepaid and postpaid customers. k. No activation charges are to be taken for post-paid connections. l. The short term promotional recharge/validity coupons effectively increase the validity besides providing some talk value. For example, any customer who chooses to recharge his connection by a special validity coupon of Rs. 350/- in the month of March, 2008 will get a validity of 365 days and talk time of Rs. 70/-. The customer, therefore, qualifies to get a free talk time of Rs. 100/- for the month of March, 2008. For subsequent months, however, he has to either recharge or top up, as per his convenience for a value not less than Rs. 100/- to be eligible to get Rs. 100/- worth of free talk time even though the validity of his connection was extended by 365 days due to recharge by a special validity coupon in the month of March.
