Promotional offer on Bfone for rural customers in Karnataka Telecom Circle

Karnataka Telecom Circle has implemented the following promotional offer for rural customers of Raichur, Hubli, & Bijapur SSAs from 01.05.08 to 31.5.08 for a period of 31 days under the brand name “Grama Mithra”. This promotional offer of Grama Mithra is applicable to rural exchanges where equipped capacity is less than 1000 Lines [where at present monthly fixed charges of Rs.50/- is levied]. These Schemes are intended to benefit low end customers.

The details of the scheme are as follows:

I. OPTION A :
On payment of Rs.600 customer will get free incoming calls for 2 years and will be entitled for 30 O/G free calls per month. The calls cannot be carried over to the successive month. The Calls will be charged at Rs.0.80/unit call beyond free calls up to 300 calls. Over and above the call rate will be Rs.1.20 per MCU.

II. OPTION B :
On payment of Rs.300 customer will get free incoming calls for 2 years and the customer will be entitled for 75 free O/G calls in the first bimonthly bill. In the subsequent bills the calls will be charged at Rs.1.00/unit beyond free call limit up to 300 calls. Over and above the call rate will be Rs. 1.20/MCU.

                                                                      Applicable for both options

• Subscribers need not to pay Installation charges, security deposit to avail the connection.
• Existing Bfone customers can also migrate to this plan provided the 2 years option plan charges are paid in advance.
• This offer is not applicable to CCB/STD PCOs, RSTC and SV DOT, EPABX, DID connections.
• In respect of calls to other network, STD/ISD calls tariff and pulse rates shall be as per corporate office plan for rural exchanges below 1,000 lines where monthly fixed charges is Rs.50/month.

The above 2 schemes shall be implemented in SDCAS of Hubli and Raichur where USO fund is provided for providing rural DELs.For details of SDCAs click here

In these SDCAs, the new connections shall be given either by Landline or WLL wherever feasible. The scheme of annual plan charges of 2 years applies to connections given by both WLL and Landline. This is not applicable to those SDCA’s in 4 SSA’s named above which are not funded by USO, which are covered by scheme in next para.

In rest of the Karnataka, the connections shall be given only with landline wherever feasible. i.e the concessional annual plan charges of 2 years scheme is applicable only to connections given by landline wherever feasible. The connections given by WLL will attract normal tariff.

Pulse Rate in Seconds:

* Fixed means wireline
** WLL means both WLL(F) and WLL(M)
  .ISD rates as per normal plan.  

Sample Calculations  

1] If a customer makes 50 calls per month :-

*equated monthly charges for the biannual plan.
** 75 free calls will be given in the first bimonthly bill only.

2] If a customer makes 100 calls per month :-

* equated monthly charges for the biannual plan.
** 75 free calls will be given in the first bimonthly bill only.

3] If a customer makes 400 calls per month :-

* equated monthly charges for the biannual plan.
**75 free calls will be given in the first bimonthly bill only.
