A ) BSNL subscribers of landline including WLL & postpaid cellular services & distinctively identifiable individuals.
Q ) Who are not eligible for this scheme ?
A ) Subscribers under Govt/PSU/corporate customers/NGOs/PCOs etc.
Q) What is the total amount insured ?
A) Rs. 50,000 /-
Q ) If the customers have more than one connection, whether they are eligible for extra insured amount.?
A ) Yes, If a customer has 4 connections, say 2 landlines,1 WLL & 1 post paid Mobile, the customer will be eligible for Rs. 2,00,000 /- instead of Rs. 50,000 /-.
Q ) When this scheme is launched ?
A ) The scheme is launched from midnight of 13-jan-2008 & will be initially for a period of One year.
Q) Whether the customer has to pay any premium for this scheme to get the benefits.?
A) No. BSNL has tied up for this with M/s Bajaj Allianz general insurance Co Ltd & M/s Oriental insurance Co Ltd.
Q) How a customer can stake his claim for the insured amount, in case of any eventuality.?
A) All claims will be settled centrally directly by M/s Bajaj Allianz General insurance Co Ltd at Pune office.The address is

Q ) What are the documents to be submitted by BSNL subscriber at the time of claim.?
A ) For accidental death claim:
i) Duly filled and signed claim form
ii) FIR copy
iii) Post Mortem report.
iv) Death certificate.
v) Latest paid BSNL telephone bill of subscriber OR if new connection ,paid demand note copy.
vi) Proof of legal heir of subscriber/succession certificate.
For permanent total disablement due to accident.
i) Duly filled and signed claim form
ii) FIR copy
iii) Disablement certificate issued by GovtHospital.
iv) Full photograph showing disability clearly, attested to Govt doctor mentioning the name of the patient/subscriber.
v) Latest paid BSNL telephone bill of subscriber OR if new connection ,paid demand note copy.

Q ) What is the period of settlement of claim ?
A ) The insurance company will settle the claim within 14 working days from the date of receipt of the complete document relating to the claim.
