The application for keeping the telephone under safe custody for short term ( minimum duration is seven days and the maximum period is 90 days) should be submitted to the Divisional Engineer in-charge of the exchange concerned. This facility is not available to the numbers connected to electronic exchanges where there is provision for dynamic locking of STD facility.

The application for keeping the telephone under safe custody for long tem (more than 6 months) should be submitted to the Commercial Officer concerned as applicable.
