How
to apply for a new connection ? |
|

Prescribed application forms are
available on free of cost at the Customer Relations Centers
of area offices or the same can be downloaded
from the BSNL's website. |
|

|
|
| |
Fill
up the prescribed form and submit the same with initial
deposit payable at the Customer Relation Centre of the area
office concerned. Payments can be made by cash/ Bank Pay Orders/
Demand Draft/cheque. Bank Pay Orders, Demand Draft and cheque
are to be drawn in favour of concerned Telecom District.

Registration for new telephone connection can
be made by post also. The seniority of registration will be
the date of receipt of the application at the area office and
the applicant will be informed of the Registration details within
10 days of the receipt of the application along with the deposit. |

The
request for new telephone connection can be registered basically
under two categories Viz |
|

| |
(1)
OYT- Own Your Telephone and (2) NOYT – Non Own Your Telephone. |

|
| |
Registrations under OYT scheme are made on initial
deposit of Rs. 15,000. The deposits carry an interest for the
period from the date of payment to the date of installation
of telephone, at the rate payable by the State Bank of India
on fixed deposits for one year. The interest is computed for
completed number of calender months. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
A rebate of Rs. 120/- in every two months
rental for deposits is given for the OYT registrants.
NON-OYT Category : Initial Deposit Rs. 3000/-
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Separate Waiting list will be maintained exchangewise
and categorywise and connections provided strictly according
to the date of registration of applications |
|

|
| |
TATKAL SCHEME
:A person who wants a telephone connection immediately
can avail of this scheme. Under this scheme, a telephone connection
is provided within a period of two weeks, on a deposit of Rs.
30,000 per connection. |
|

|
|
| |
Applications will be registered with a deposit
of Rs. 3000/- After ascertaining the feasibility of the provision
of telephone within two weeks, the balance of deposit of Rs.
27,000 will be collected and the telephone connection is provided. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
If
the telephone connection is not found to be feasible within
two weeks, the deposit of Rs. 3000/- will be refunded to the
applicant unless he is willing to retain his request under TATKAL
scheme, and to have it as soon as it is feasible. |
|

|
|
| |
Applications already registered under OYT/ NON-OYT
can be permitted to be transferred to this scheme on payment
of the difference of deposits of the two schemes viz 15,000
or 27,000 respectively. |
|

|
|
| |
A telephone provided under this scheme can be
transferred to another party only after three years from the
date of installation and as per the instructions on the subject
regarding transfer of telephones. |
|

|
|
| |
Surrender:
A telephone sanctioned under this scheme can be
surrendered by the subscriber at any time and refund of deposit
made will be admissible as follows: |
